Ken is a Senior Associate in the Employment team of Tanner De Witt and has extensive experience advising employers and senior executives on all aspects of employment law, including contentious and non-contentious employment matters such as claims for breach of employment contracts, labour appeals, breach of employment duties and fiduciary duties, termination, summary dismissal, investigations on disciplinary matters, severance and retrenchment, post-termination restrictions, discrimination, MPF issues, drafting executive and employment contracts (in English and Chinese), handbooks, policies, bonuses and deferred compensation, privacy and data protection, contracts negotiations, due diligence, separation and settlement, employees’ compensation and advising on a wide aspect of employment and HR related issues. Ken also provides training to clients on employment related issues, such as management and handling of staff issues, disciplinary issues and process and employment protection.
Ken’s key clients include employers and senior executives in the financial market industries and Chinese state-owned and multinational corporations in banking, finance, asset management, pharmaceutical, consultancy, F&B and fashion industries. Ken regularly represents clients in different levels of Court, including the High Court, District Court, Labour Tribunal and other administrative tribunals.

Prior to joining Tanner De Witt, Ken worked as a corporate and commercial solicitor handling cross border Merger and Acquisitions transactions and advising on Hong Kong law issues/aspects relating to companies listing on the SGX. Ken also has experience in a broad aspect of legal practice including dispute resolution, insolvency, wills and probate, and property/tenancy law.
