Joanne was made Partner at Tanner De Witt in 2017 and is Head of the Matrimonial and Family Department. Joanne advises on all aspects of family law including jurisdictional issues, divorce, separation, financial arrangements for spouse and children, nuptial agreements, custody and other disputes relating to children including applications to remove children from Hong Kong, paternity and adoption cases.
Joanne is a Qualified Practitioner of the Hong Kong Collaborative Law Practice Group, a qualified Parenting Coordinator, Mediator and a Committee Member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association.
Joanne studied Law in England before being admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2008. Prior to joining Tanner De Witt Joanne spent nine years with a well-established Hong Kong firm obtaining extensive litigation and non-contentious experience. She was awarded a Master of Laws (LLM) from The University of Hong Kong’s Faculty of Law in 2018.
