021月2018

Partner Joanne Brown, Consultant Philip Swainston and Solicitor Rowan Varty represented Tanner De Witt at the Pro Bono and Community Service Award Presentation Ceremony, which was held at the Department of Justice on 13 December 2017.

We are pleased to announce that we won a Bronze Award, while Joanne, Philip and Rowan  all received Individual Awards for their work.

In order to win the Bronze Award, the law firm must achieve no less than 10 scores which is calculated thus: half the scores come from the average number of pro bono hours per lawyer of a law firm in the award period (2016 – 2017), while the other half represent the percentage of lawyers who performed more than 10 hours of pro bono work.

Congratulations to our diligent and conscientious team!

About the Programme

The Law Society of Hong Kong Pro Bono and Community Work Recognition Programme 2017 is a method for The Law Society of Hong Kong to encourage law firms and members to carry out pro bono and community focused work; it was set up in January 2010. All members, trainee solicitors and registered foreign lawyers who are active in giving back are given the opportunity to present their service so they can be recognised and their work appreciated.
