Legal update: Increase of Statutory Minimum Wage effective 1 May 2019

Effective from 1 May 2019, the rate of Statutory Minimum Wage has been increased from HK$34.50 to HK$37.50 per hour.  The monetary cap on the requirement of employers recording the total number of hours worked by employees has also been revised to HK$15,300 per month.  The latest updated guideline issued by the Labour Department on Statutory Minimum Wage can be found at this link.
