Sharina Mahtani

Senior Associate

 

Sharina is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice having joined the firm in 2019. Sharina’s practice focuses on commercial arbitration and litigation.

Sharina has a wide range of experience in advising on civil and commercial disputes. She has advised and represented clients including key industry players on a number of complex and high-profile litigation and arbitration matters across industries including food & beverage, fitness, medical, charity, waste and energy, and legal. Sharina often appears as an advocate at both the High Court and District Court levels before Judges in Chambers to obtain urgent and/or interlocutory relief.

Sharina earned her Bachelor of Laws with Honours from City University of Hong Kong upon having received a full scholarship. She earned her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) from City University of Hong Kong.

 

 

  • Acting for various clients in litigation proceedings in Hong Kong and multiple other jurisdictions involving a multimillion US-dollar claim by a national government and various state owned entities arising out of various transactions and related arrangements.
  • Advising in relation to events of default under a multimillion GBP bond issued to raise finances to develop a significant retail and commercial centre in the United Kingdom as well as identifying routes to recovery.
  • Acting in and advising upon various contentious shareholders’ disputes in SMEs and across industries including food & beverage, medical, charity, waste and energy, legal.
