Norman joined Tanner De Witt and qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in early 2005 after completing his traineeship in an international law firm.
Norman is a litigator focusing on insolvency related matters. Norman advises on all aspects of law and procedure in relation to debt recovery actions, liquidation and bankruptcy proceedings, obtaining injunctions and shareholders' disputes.

- Acting for liquidators in successfully opposing a strike-out application in relation to a claim for more than HK$290 million ([2005] HKEC 790); formulating further strategies to procure final settlement of the parties, including successfully opposed an application for stay of proceedings pending appeal ([2005] HKEC 1498);
- Acting for majority shareholders of a Hong Kong private company with substantial assets in mainland China in opposing a section 168A petition; formulating strategies (including an appplication for security for costs) to procure ultimate settlement agreement;
- Acting for majority shareholders of a Hong Kong private company with substantial land interest in Hong Kong in opposing a section 168A petition, including taking out security for costs application and strike-out application; advising the same parties in the liquidation of a related company ([2006] HKEC 2362; [2007] 1 HKLRD A1, A2);
- Acting for a well-known securities company in obtaining a Mareva injunction against its former director;
- Acting for a construction material supplier in a claim against its customer for goods delivered but unpaid; obtained summary judgment ([2005] HKEC 1333);
- Acting for an overseas company in successfully obtaining possession order of a property in a contentious Order 88 proceedings ([2006] HKEC 1871).
