Edmond holds an LLB from the University of Exeter and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2001.
Edmond joined Tanner De Witt in March 2007. Prior to this he was a solicitor with a prominent UK law firm advising clients from institutions to owner-managed businesses operating in a wide range of industries.
Edmond advises on acquisitions and disposals of companies and businesses, MBOs (management buyouts), MBIs (management buy-ins), acquisition finance and general banking matters including loan and security documentation. Edmond also advises on joint ventures and shareholders' agreements and general corporate commercial matters including corporate structuring, directors' service agreements, partnership agreements and commercial arrangements (commercial agency agreements, distribution agreements, supply of goods and services agreements, etc).
- Disposal of a mortgage broker's business to a UK bank.
- Acting for the management of a UK national roofing contractor company in the management buyout of the company from private equity providers for £2 million, and subsequently acting for the same clients in the £5.5 million disposal of the company to their management.
- Acting in a £12 million share sale of a company in the orthopaedic sector to an overseas listed company.
- Acting for the management in a buy in/management buy out of a virtual reality software/hardware business which provided services to the Ministry of Defence.
- Acting in the sale of numerous builders' merchants in the UK to PLCs for values from £800,000 to £8 million.
